Jesus

Am I a friend of God?

Friendship

@creationswap/ Valentin Dianov

By Charell Anderson

Scripture Reading

Matthew 26:50- But Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have you come?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.

In the Bible, Jesus knew He was going to be crucified. He knew of the plots and trickery the chief priests, the scribes, and Judas had planned against Him. Jesus was aware of everything, because He is God. He is the Creator, the Most High God, the only True God, and an Intelligent God. He carried a love for the people who had a scheduled day to betray and kill Him.

Even today, He (Jesus) loves us although we continue to not recognize the order He established for us to live by. The Creator reaches out His hand to each of us, every day. God is saying to us, “Friend, why are you rejecting me?” When Jesus recognized Judas as a friend, He was offering Judas His friendship and giving him a chance to turn away from his wicked ways. My husband and I would like for you to envision this in your mind. Jesus was facing Judas while Judas had a multitude of soldiers behind him to capture and kill Jesus. However, Jesus still called him friend. That’s powerful.

There are everlasting benefits of being a friend of the Most High God. Abraham experienced those rewards when God said, “Should I hide what I am doing from Abraham” (Genesis 18:17). In this verse, God allowed us to know his love for Abraham. When you are obedient to God and seek God, He will reveal things to you that you need to know. Through Abraham’s obedience he was able to save his nephew, Lot, from the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah. This is what God desires to do for us today.

If you’re feeling discouraged or maybe you don’t know of God or maybe you just need strength, we ask you to take that step of faith and allow God to be your friend. God already acknowledges you as a friend; He is just waiting on you to answer Him by saying yes on today. Allow God to show you how it feels to have peace of mind by casting your worries on Him. God cares for you. God forgives you as He did Judas. It doesn’t matter what sin you have committed, because God still has His hands reaching toward you, saying “friend”.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, forgive me for all the days I have betrayed you. Teach me how to walk according to your word; I am willing to be your friend. I desire to have a close relationship with you by reading your word. In Jesus name, Amen.

I currently live in Mississippi. I have been writing since I was approximately fourteen years old. When God stepped into my life at the age of 23, God transformed my writings into devotions to Him. My husband also inspires me each day to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through my devotionals.

10 Ways To Overcome The Force Of Giving Up Today

Fear Not

@creationswap/kevincarden

By Ngozi Nwoke

Are you feeling like giving up on that assignment, business, career or relationship? The feeling to quit can be so strong and frustrating; it occupies your whole mind and affects your reasoning. And you think that if you throw in the towel, you will have peace. I can well assure you that quitting is not the solution. This article tells you how to overcome the force of giving up the good.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ – Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force – Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)

Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men – Proverbs 22:29 (AMP)

Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it – Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV)

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry – Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)

The feeling to give up most of the time comes when you are starting something newly or you are facing challenges. You need to understand that this is normal. The enemy will always test your faith, strength and courage.

The bible says that if you fail in the day of adversity your strength is small – Proverbs 24:10 God understood this and kept telling Joshua to be strong and courageous – Joshua 1:6-9. There are giants on the way to the Promised Land. You must see that you are well able to overcome the giants – Numbers 13:30.

How to overcome the force of giving up

1. Confirm the will of God concerning the issue This is the first step to take. What God has not sanctioned He will not back up. Seek God’s face and be sure you are running on your own lane. If it is of God, relax because you will succeed even if there is a delay. Remember, if God be for you who can be against you – Romans 8:31. But if you are doing the wrong thing, you need to make a U-turn. As a wise man said, no matter how long you have been on the wrong path, anytime you discover it, just make U-turn. If you continue then you have signed for unending challenges and frustration, no matter your efforts. When you are sure of God’s backing, the strength and courage to continue come alive. You will be able to face all oppositions and you won’t be swayed by other people’s opinions. But the zeal of the Lord upon you will do it. Now, there is an exception – if you are married, God can’t tell you to quit your marriage. It is till death do you part – Matthew 19:6, Malachi 2:14. That is why you must make sure of God’s will concerning the person before you walk down the aisle – 2 Corinthians 6:14. Courtship can be broken but not marriage.

2. The book of the Law must not depart from your mouth The word of God in your mouth is a great motivator. Life and death are in the power of the tongue – Proverbs 18:21. When you use it well you receive life and vice versa. Again God has given you a mouth and a wisdom which your enemies cannot resist – Luke 21:15. As you keep declaring God’s word, the force of giving up will give way to the force of the word. It builds up your faith and you will be assured that that assignment, career or business will surely work. God told Joshua not to allow the book of the law to depart from his mouth but he should meditate on it, then will he prosper and have good success – Joshua 1:8. I presume you want good success? Then you need to meditate on God’s word.

3. Take clear and calculated steps. Planning and planning and taking no steps can be very frustrating. What you never do remains undone. If you do little or nothing but expecting great success, then you must be fooling yourself. There is profit in labor – Proverbs 14:23 When you have put in your best then God will bless the work of your hands – Deuteronomy 28:12. When He sees no work He will bless nothing. And He will bless according to your works. Remember faith without works is dead – James 2:17. So ask yourself if you have put in your best. May be there are limitations hindering you from taking steps you would want to take, ask God to remove them.

4. You must apply the force of pursuit You need to pursue your vision. In Habakkuk 2:2, God expects you to run with your vision and not crawl. When you crawl you give room for discouragement.

5. Equip yourself with the relevant knowledge. People are destroyed for lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6. When you don’t have enough knowledge about an issue, you will struggle with it and you won’t make wise decisions concerning it. Load yourself with information; find out how those who succeeded did it. Really there is nothing new under the sun – Ecclesiastes 1:9.

6. Diligence is required A man who is diligent in his business will stand before kings and not before obscure men – Proverbs 22:29. Diligence will take you places. It will surely take some efforts from your part, but it delivers handsome rewards. When you are diligent, your mind will be occupied with your work and you won’t have room for give up thoughts.

7. Encourage yourself Truly, some challenges may come and you will feel discouraged, but you need to encourage yourself in the Lord. King David faced a big challenge one time. His family and his men’s family were captured and his men wanted to stone him. He encouraged himself and then had a free mind to ask God for the way forward – 1 Samuel 30:6-8 .The word of God is the perfect instrument to use in encouraging yourself. Search out the relevant scriptures and meditate on them. I tell you, your spirit will be lifted up.

8. You take your success by force The enemy will not fold his hands and see you fly into success. He will certainly put obstacles on your way, so expect them. But you can take your success by force. You need to violently take your victory – Matthew 11:12. The enemy is not gentle at all so you must not be with him at all. Now, the word of God tells you what belongs to you and when you equip yourself with the knowledge, you can violently tell the enemy to take his hands of your inheritance. But if you don’t know, you will just be crying and pitying yourself. That will give room to the force of giving up.

9. Hold unto testimonies Testimonies are powerful tools for overcoming the idea to quit. When you remember how God solved a case like yours for someone else, your spirit will come alive. The thoughts to give up will disappear. This is because God is not partial, what He did for one He will do for another. Testimonies are prophesies and they must be fulfilled, even in your life. We overcome by the words of our testimonies – Revelation 12:11. Anytime you engage testimonies you engage God. King David understood this principle and he engaged it when he faced Goliath. He said God who delivered me from the hands of bears and lions will deliver you into my hands. And God did!

10.Engage the force of praise and thanksgiving. Make praise and thanksgiving a lifestyle and you will see God working for you. Thank Him for everything He does for you and you will see Him do more. Praise Him for who He is and you will see Him fight all your battles. Why is praise and thanksgiving so powerful? It is because praise is what God cannot give Himself and so anyone that does is dear to Him. He inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3) and He comes with all His blessings.

So praise God continually and you will have no reason to give up. In conclusion, no matter the feeling to give up, you can overcome it with the help of God.

What if There Were No Christmas?

Christmas

@creationswap/ Bettine deKruijf

by Deborah Ann Belka

What if there was no Christmas,
no Babe lying in the manger
what if the Savior wasn’t born
to heal the world’s hurt and anger?

There would be no Good Friday,
no Palm Sunday or Resurrection Day
there would be no souls to show
the truth, the light or the way.

What if there was no Christmas,
no freedom from our strife
no hope or any anticipation
of having a blissful eternal life?

There would be no everlasting joy,
no chance of a never-ending love
there would be no glorious meeting
with our Savior one day above.

What if there was no Christmas,
no trust, no faith, no peace
no virgin birth, no babe born
so our pain and tears would cease?

There would be no Prince of Life,
no eternal Lord and King
there would be no rational
in the Christmas songs we sing.

What if the baby Jesus wasn’t born,
on Christmas Day?
What then would be the reason
to even celebrate today?

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 7:14
King James Version
“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you
a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive,
and bear a son, and shall call his name
Immanuel.”
Merry CHRISTmas Everyone!
Would it perhaps be a diamond or some precious stone or gem?
What great thing would you desire, if you were to receive a gift of Him?
God’s gift was given to us when He gave the world His Son.
Christ is the way of Hope and Salvation to each and every one.
So, whether or not you get the gift you desired, be sure you’ve received His.
For when God gave Christ to us, He gave THE GREATEST GIFT THERE IS.
Why Christmas Again?
A Stable Influence
@creationswap/hollywilliams
By Ngozi Nwoke
Christmas again is here. What is special about it? Why should it be a big holiday time? Some people really ask these questions and they want answers. This article is to answer the question “why Christmas again?”
For my eyes have seen Your salvation. Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”… Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against – Luke 2:30-34 (NKJV)
Many people remember Christmas only for the holiday, giving and receiving of gifts, and a time to have fun and relax. But it is more than that. It is very significant and so must be observed with understanding and appropriate actions.
The date is significant enough that Anno Domini (AD) and Before Christ (BC), which are designations used to label or number years, are based on the birth of Jesus Christ. Also, all over the world, this date is recognized and respected. School calendars are scheduled with this date in consideration. Businesses and offices close on that day. Really, it is an important date.
Christmas again is remembered as the day Jesus Christ, the savior of the world was born. Jesus came as God’s salvation plan for humanity. Through Christ, God reconciled man back to himself. All man has to do to activate this perfected reconciliation is to accept Jesus as his personal Lord and savior.
In addition, it was a day one of God’s prophesies were fulfilled. God prophesied the birth of Jesus in the Old Testament and fulfilled it in the New Testament. The fulfillment of this is a proof that whatever God says He does.
Jesus is the glory of God’s people and He came to bring revelation to humanity. He is the way, the truth and the life. Through Christ we have access to God, the father and all that He has to offer: including His blessings. Furthermore, Jesus is for a sign and many people either rise or fall because of Him.
Why Christmas again?
It is a time to reflect and examine your status with God. Have you accepted God’s salvation? How much revelation have you received of God from Jesus? Is Jesus’ glory evident in your life? Have you risen or fallen? How much of God’s word concerning you are fulfilled in your life?
Therefore, Christmas holiday is a time to evaluate your walk with God and take some steps towards fulfilling the essence of Christmas in your life. So as you make out time to visit loved ones and to enjoy the holiday, also make out time to be in God’s presence to receive instructions and be empowered to rise more.
The Hunt for God’s Blessings
Blessed
@creationswap/chrismanfre
By: Pastor Whited
I received an e-mail the other day and made me think of how do I handle life’s difficult times?
So, right now we are in hunting season and everyone is excited to hopefully hunt the BIG BUCK or Turkey but I started to think of how much prep time we put into preparing for the hunt: Get the right equipment,clothes, scouting, tree stands, doe urine , and hotel rooms for those who really are wimps! But we put a lot of time and energy into preparing for the hunt.
But today I am going to talk about a different type of hunting. The hunt for God’s blessing!
The bible give us all kinds of examples but I love Paul’s stories: 2 Corinthians 11:16-31
New International Version (NIV)
Paul Boasts About His Sufferings
16 I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then tolerate me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting. 17 In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool. 18 Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast. 19 You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise! 20 In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or puts on airs or slaps you in the face. 21 To my shame I admit that we were too weak for that!
Whatever anyone else dares to boast about—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast about. 22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham’s descendants? So am I. 23 Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. 24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. 27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. 28 Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?
30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying
We see all these things that Paul went through and yet we see him say: “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain…having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better” (Philip. 1:21-23). In these words we see the entire substance of the apostle’s life and what he looked to beyond this life. Everything that Paul did revolved around his Lord whom he served. He knew that his Lord promises salvation that cannot be hindered by death, but is only brought closer by it. Thus, death was viewed as a valuable thing.
Are you hunting for all the blessing in your life or are you becoming bitter instead of better? The battles of this life are to be expected but it is how we deal with them that makes the difference. Are you digging deep to find the blessing in life’s difficult times?  Let’s look at one more example:
Matthew 14:22-33
New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Walks on the Water
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
Cross references:
  1. Matthew 14:22 : 14:22-33pp — Mk 6:45-51; Jn 6:16-21
  2. Matthew 14:22 : 14:34-36pp — Mk 6:53-56
  3. Matthew 14:23 : S Lk 3:21
  4. Matthew 14:26 : Lk 24:37
  5. Matthew 14:27 : Mt 9:2; Ac 23:11
  6. Matthew 14:27 : Da 10:12; Mt 17:7; 28:10; Lk 1:13, 30; 2:10; Ac 18:9; 23:11; Rev 1:17
  7. Matthew 14:31 : S Mt 6:30
  8. Matthew 14:33 : Ps 2:7; S Mt 4:3
We see Christ walk on water to the disciples in the storm when their  world was being rocked and wondering what to do, then they LOOKED for Jesus and he came to them in the storm and as soon as Peter got his mind off the storm and fixed on Jesus then he was no longer worrying about the storm he wanted to walk out to meet Christ and was given the ability to do so by the faith in Christ Jesus, but as soon as Peter’s faith got weak and he lost the focus on Jesus then the storm became the focus again and he began to sink, but Christ still did not give up on him, Jesus then climbed in the boat with them and when Jesus entered into their presents then the storm completely calmed.
Today I challenge you the next time you find yourself in a storm, remember that there is a blessing to be found we just have to be willing to hunt for it. Are willing to go hunting for your blessing today during this Thanksgiving time? Look around at truly view what you have to be thankful for in your life right now.
I was going through a rough time at work and I got consumed by the situation, it was the main focus and I was just freaking out, wondering what I was going to do. So I called one of my friends and asked his advice and as I talked to him he started ask me some questions: How is your family? How is your finances? Do you have money in your pocket? Is your mom and Dad still alive? Do you have your health? Could you get another job if you had too? Do you have a car? Do you have friends? Do you have a house? Do you have a church family? Do you have salvation?
At first I did not want to discuss any of that; I had a problem and that is what I called him about, not to ask me a bunch of questions.
But then he stated; “ you got a lot to be THANKFUL for don’t you?” A lot of time in the big scheme of things these storms are not as big as we think they are.
Have you allowed your storm to get so big that you can’t see Jesus on the other side telling you that he can walk on top of every storm that life hands you but you have to willing to seek me first.
I hope each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and allow yourself to be filled with Joy knowing Jesus is in control of every storm and give him the Thanks for the blessing he is going to give you during this difficult time .  Become a hunter of blessing !
Please feel free to pass this along to anyone who you believe needs to hear the message. God Bless!
Poisoned Minds (poem)
By Jackson  Vusaka
What was formed and born pure
Has been corrupted by the lure of the dark
Naivety engulfed, oblivious of misguided intentions
Unaware of its godly potential
What was destined for eternal glory
Has been turned, fashioned for destruction
A distraction from its normal actions
The rule of fear
Has veiled the hearts of men
Not to perceive the love of God
Selfishness is condemning us
Slowly snuffing out the concern we have for each other
A man for a man society has erroneously transformed to a
A man eats man society
The poison has been crafted purposefully
Cunningly infused to our system
To become the norm
It’s only the wise who see it
The bold who question its existence
and the strong who prevail the onslaught of its fury
It’s truly a potent war
Waged in the immortal realm
With weapons that defy mortal logic
Yet it’s very simple to the over-comers
The survivors of the dire age
Who deploy power invisible to the eyes of men
To break strongholds of unimaginable magnitude
Only one name purifies the poisoned mind
Only one name pierces the darkness with light
Only one name mediates between man and God
The name is Jesus Christ
The antidote
Welcome to the Future
By Shirley Carr
You might not be able to say that the situation didn’t sting–it did and probably still does– but I am sure that it has made an enduring route of determination. At times you may have felt like the illegitimate child conceived by your past and present. Between these two you may have felt as if apart of you died. Yet, somewhere on the path-in a valley, perhaps, between the mountains that build upon expired promises, properly buried beneath many rejections, lying in the grave of grief, faith was resurrected. Faith called you out of your dead situation and so you not only began to move out but you began to move forward and, no doubt about it your life, will never be the same! Consider the story of Lazarus in John 11:1-12:10. There are three events that you must consider when you mention Lazarus in the Bible; these events are a Resurrection, a Renaissance, and a Revolution!
A resurrection is the act of bringing someone or something back to life or to use. What situations have left you feeling like a hallow drum that had deteriorated long before the beat echoed throughout the environment? What circumstances have you allowed to entangle you and entrapped you even to the point of wrapping around your hands and feet and even to the point of covering your face. Your hand is the part of the body that is able to hold. Your feet are the part of your body that is able to stand. Your face is the part of your body that gives you identity. What situations have caused holding on to become a challenge? What situations have caused your ability to stand to be thrown off balance? What situations have caused who you are and your identity to be masked? In John 11, Jesus notices a man who has encountered these situations. The man is laying limp in a tomb. And Jesus shouted, “Lazarus comes out” and a dead man  a once dead man walked out from the tomb; has hands, feet, and face still bound up with the linen burial cloths. Lazarus still wrapped up was able to hear the voice of Jesus call Him. And notice what happens next. Lazarus did not say a word! Lazarus performed an ACT! Lazarus came out and Jesus then gave another command to those who were at the tomb. Jesus said, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” Grave clothes represent addictions and worldly things that we hold on to. Grave clothes represent things in your past that you keep holding on too. Grave clothes represent depression. The grave cloths came off and then they let him go. Jesus brought Lazarus back to life and the story doesn’t stop here.
There is a renaissance and a revolution that happened. A renaissance means a rebirth! This renaissance is the turning from man to God. In John 12, Jesus arrived at Bethany where Lazarus lived and a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Lazarus was reclining at the table with Jesus! It was through rebirth that Lazarus was able to be at the table with Jesus. Jesus was important to Lazarus. Lazarus did not miss the opportunity to be at the table with Jesus! Jesus IS a big deal! People begin to put their faith in Jesus! A revolution breaks out! Revolution is a drastic and far-reaching ways of thinking and behaving. The bible says in John 12: 9-11, a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in him. You may feel like what you are going through has taken the very life out of you.
You may feel so wrapped up in the same ole situation where now you are just a carcass of carelessness. Nevertheless, Jesus is moved with compassion for you and He is calling your name and just like Lazarus you must come out! As you come out watch your past come off of you. The thing of your past that has had you wrapped up has to let you go NOW! You on the eve of a Renaissance that will ignite the greatest Revolution ever! This revolution will turn people from man to Jesus. It begins today. Welcome to the Future!
Living Under the Influence
Radical Living
artwork@creationswap/willwallace
By Steve Countryman
Driving under the influence means that your ability to operate and maneuver a motor vehicle is greatly impaired.  Those who try believe a lie and are deceiving themselves.  Trying to drive while under the influence will cause you trouble.  It will hurt you, those around you and those close to you.  It will bring destruction, destroying your life, your job, your finances, your family, your friends and perfect strangers who get in your way.
Living under the influence refers to those things that influence your daily life and decisions either good or bad.  The sinner lives under the influence of the ruler of this world, Satan.  All decisions the sinner makes are affected, one way or another, by the influence of sin and temptation.  Even when it seems to be a worthy cause or good intentions there always seems to be a hidden reason for the decision.  For example expecting something in return for doing a good deed if only recognition.  Or being deceived into thinking that by doing good deeds they will qualify to enter into heaven.  Driving drunk or high is an indicator that the person could have an addiction problem and is living under the influence of the kingdom of darkness.
Even Christians live under the influence of this world to some degree because we live here surrounded by sinful influences daily.  It is when you allow those influences into your thinking that trouble begins.  Romans 12:2  Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Allowing the little things is where it starts.  Your friends start complaining about their job, their spouse, their sickness, their finances you name it and the next thing you know you are doing the same thing.  Seemed harmless enough just blowing off steam right?  Wrong!  Your words carry power and by confessing with your mouth your complaints you are pronouncing curses over yourself and your situation.  Take your concerns to the Lord not to your friends.
Fear, doubt and worry are all opposites of faith in your God which leads to complaining and murmuring that leads to poor decisions, more curses and more trouble!  It shows a lack of trust in God’s ability to provide for you and is contrary to being a child of the Most High God.  You must choose to put on the mind of Christ daily and ask God for wisdom.  James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.  But you say you don’t have enough faith Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.   Being a Christian is not an honorary title but requires commitment and dedication to God and His Word.  You have to spend time with God daily and develop an intimate walk to know Him better.  Spending time with God and in His Word will build your faith.  Like anything else you only get out of it what you put into to it, like what is means to be a child of the Most High God as revealed in your daily walk.
You can’t have the victory in your life trying to survive on the prayers of others.  You can’t have the victory over your problems, troubles and fears by going to church every once in a while.  You can’t have the victory if you can’t forgive others who have sinned against you, your family or your friends.  You can’t have the victory by going on the words of a preacher and not read the Word of God yourself.  You can’t have the victory by listening to the advice of this world and ignoring what God’s Word says.  You can’t have the victory if you don’t know who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you.  You can’t have the victory in your life without faith in your God.  Faith is the bridge that joins the known of this world to the unknown of God’s kingdom.
Being a Christian is more than wearing a cross around your neck.  Being a Christian is more than being a Sunday pew sitter.  Being a Christian is more than carrying a Bible.  Being a Christian is more than having a Christian bumper sticker.  Being a Christian is more than being just a survivor, more than an over-comer, more than a warrior and more than a conquer.  Being a Christian means that your life brings glory to God.  Being a Christian means that you are a child of the Most High God and you represent His kingdom everywhere you go.  You proclaim His goodness in your life instead of complaining to others.  Your decisions, actions and words all reflect His influence in your life as you conduct yourself daily with the mind of Christ.  By doing this you bring glory to your God.
It is His will that is manifested in you, with you, to you, for you and through you.  It is His will that you are healed and in good health.  It is His will that you prosper as your soul prospers.  It is His will that you walk in ALL power and authority of heaven.  It is His will that all spiritual blessings and spiritual gifts are made available to you.  It is His will that you have abundant prosperity in every part of your life.  Think about it, how does it reflect on God for one of His children to be sickly, complaining, grumpy, sinful, hateful or destitute?  Where is the glory of God in that person’s life?  How do they bring God glory?  What kind of testimony is that?  We are God’s witnesses and He is our testimony.  “If I can only hang on until Jesus comes back” is a defeated shameless statement that too many Christians use.  Where is their victory and how do they bring glory to God?
The fullness of Christ lives and dwells in us at the time of salvation.  We Christians spend years grasping what that all entails.  We have what no other powerful men and women of God had in the Old Testament.  When God worked through them the Word said that the Spirit of the Lord came upon them.  Because of the finished work of the cross of Jesus we have the Spirit of the Lord in us always!  That is why His Word says that the latter house will be greater than the former house.  And why Jesus said that we would do greater things than He did.  We are the latter house!  Knowing who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you is found through faith.  The fullness of Christ is made known through your faith.  It is through faith that you are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens you.  It is through faith that you walk being led by the Holy Spirit.  It is through faith that your salvation is made possible.  It is because of your faith that God is pleased with you.  And it is by studying the Word of God that your faith is founded, perfected, put into action and grows strong.  By faith the influence of God’s kingdom is manifested in your life daily.  Living under the influence of God’s Word, commands and love will impact your surroundings and those around you everywhere you go!  The time is ripe!!
The glory of the Lord,
Shines through His word.
Salvation to proclaim,
Through His Holy Name.
Cleansed by the blood of the Lamb,
Forever to be His child I am.
I will never be the same,
When into my life He came.
Redeemed, Redeemed.
Hallelujah to the King.
Sitting at the right hand of the Father,
No need to look any further.
